Gangsters Send Vancouver Home with 7-6 Loss
|
Chicago Gangsters starter Jason Strobel pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Caribou at The Hideout, leading the Gangsters to victory, 7-6. Strobel, now 6-8, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 11, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. With the victory, the Gangsters record stands at 40-70.
In the bottom of the seventh, Chicago catcher Kevin Crouch had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Crouch stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 7-1, Chicago. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Crouch told the Chicago Herald.
