Marauders Spank Nightmare, 14-0
|
The Philadelphia Marauders scored a convincing win at Nightmare Stadium, defeating the New York Nightmare, 14-0. One of the hitting stars was Manuel Rosas, who led the AC in hits with 204 last year, who was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice. Corbett Wright, the winner, is now 3-4. He struck out 3 and walked 1 over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs on 4 hits. Philadelphia is in second place in the American Conference North East Division with a record of 55-54.
Rosas made an early impact for Philadelphia when he stroked his 34th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Marauders on top, 5-0.
"Manuel is still learning," said Marauders manager Danny Ordaz. "The sky's the limit for him."
