In a tight game between the Syracuse Scorpions and the Cincinnati Royals, pitcher John Froerer was terrific on the mound. The Syracuse right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Omar Trujillo earned the save, his 30th, for the Scorpions. Cincinnati has now lost 5 in a row.

Froerer, who dominated for Syracuse, earned the victory to move to 11-8. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 10. Cincinnati batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Froerer told the Syracuse Gazette.
