The Phoenix Gladiators locked up a win at Hollywood Grounds, knocking off the Hollywood Stars, 7-3. On the mound for Phoenix was right-hander Moises Cruz. He played a major role in the triumph. The win was credited to Dave Coe in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Scott Johnson took the loss. Hollywood now is 2-2.

Phoenix designated hitter Eric Milbrandt helped the Gladiators go up, 3-2, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Milbrandt hit a run-scoring single off Hollywood pitcher Sean Muzzy.
