Reapers Lose to Nightmare, 5-2
New York Nightmare starter Allan Clemente was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Carolina Reapers, 5-2. In 7.1 innings, Clemente surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Earning his 9th save for New York was Jeff Groves.

The Reapers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Nightmare going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old right fielder Ryan Stanczak came to the plate. Stanczak hit a 2-run double on a full count fastball from Carolina hurler Jake Triplett. It was Stanczak's 5th double of the year.

Stanczak called the win "a collective effort."

The last-place Nightmare bumped their record to 16-21.
