Whistlers Win Squeaker, 7-6, Over Dragons
The Dallas Dragons and Boston Whistlers provided some drama for the home crowd.

Behind a fine performance from Eric Clayton, the Boston Whistlers knocked off the Dallas Dragons, 7-6. Clayton was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Whistlers. Boston, at 16-19, occupies second place in the American Conference Central Division.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Clayton delivered big-time for Boston, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Paul Garcia. The game-changing hit put the Whistlers on top, 7-6.

Clayton told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
