Benson Hands Chicago 7-2 Loss
|
The Dallas Dragons topped the Chicago Gangsters, 7-2, in American Conference action at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Dallas pitcher Chris Benson. The Dragons saw their win-loss record go to 14-21. At the same time, the Gangsters fell to 11-24.
Benson tossed 93 pitches over 7.1 innings to clinch the win for the Dragons. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"Chris's as tough as he is talented," said Dallas manager Edgar Puente.
