The Oakland Invaders had to overcome a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Josh Monroe to win, 3-2, at Howard Terminal. Monroe went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win belonged to Josh Becker in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Evan Sippel took the loss for Toronto. The loss makes Toronto 3-1.

The Invaders got a clutch hit from designated hitter Pete Horne. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Invaders.

"We had a chance to win," said Toronto manager Walt DeRosier, "but we didn't get it done."
