McGettigan, Heathens Stop Shiners, 2-0
|
Nick McGettigan was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Ballpark of Charleston. In fact, the Halifax Heathens right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Charleston Shiners. Miguel Soto earned the save for Halifax, his 2nd of the year. Halifax has now won 5 straight.
Halifax starter Nick McGettigan was exceptional. The 6-foot-3 right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings of work.
"I like our mindset right now," said Halifax manager David Morris.
