Walker leads offense, Leads Eagles to Win
Indianapolis Eagles starter Jesse Walker was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Detroit Giants, 2-0. Walker got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. The first-place Eagles have a one-game lead in their division.

The Eagles got an important contribution from second baseman Henry Cortez, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 0-2 fastball to left-center for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 2-0.

"Runs were at a premium," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
