The Carolina Crown defeated the Dallas Dragons, 5-2, at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Carolina center fielder Blake Benigno had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. The win gives the Crown a record of 10-23.

Carolina first baseman Jeff Whitis produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Dan Mathis on the mound and Carolina leading 3-2. Whitis hit a sacrifice fly.
