Indianapolis right-hander Ray Dappen pitched his team to victory over the Detroit Giants at Ballpark of Detroit. The final score was 6-3. The victory gives Indianapolis a record of 21-12.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Tony Bradshaw to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Eagles ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm happy we won," said Dappen. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
