Eagles Deal Fountain Hills 5-1 Defeat

The Indianapolis Eagles took Fountain Hills pitcher Miguel Leon's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Eagles Stadium. The final score had Indianapolis getting past the 23ers, 5-1. Leon went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 12. Indianapolis pitcher Jerry Bowman earned the win, hiking his record to 5-1. Miguel Leon suffered the loss. Indianapolis raised its record to 20-13 with the win.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Jim Anderson had a game-changing hit. The Eagles left fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Nick Dragon, making the score 2-0, Indianapolis.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Fountain Hills manager Efren Nieman.
