Good production from second baseman Dusty Ward helped the San Francisco Fire topple the Syracuse Scorpions, 8-2. Ward went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Fire. Miguel Berrios earned the win for San Francisco. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 6-0. Jon Messer notched his 2nd save of the season.
