Benson Now 3-2 Following 5-0 Win
|
Hollywood Stars starter Chris Benson pitched his team past the Syracuse Scorpions, 5-0. Hollywood raised its record to 19-14 with the win.
It was a masterful performance from the popular Benson, who notched 8 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 5 hits. Benson, who is tied for 3rd in the NC in quality starts with 5, goes to 3-2 on the year with 46 strikeouts.
Said losing manager Ricardo Lopez: "Give the Stars credit. They played a better game than we did."
