Nightmare Rally Late to Clip Boston
|
The New York Nightmare got a rain-soaked win over the Boston Whistlers.
The performance of Kevin Dorow proved critical in helping New York beat Boston, 6-5. The Nightmare designated hitter went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. New York reliever Brian Prince picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mario Ruiz took the loss. Adam Holland earned save number 1 this season.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Brady Louis? The 26-year old right fielder Louis stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put New York up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Dorow.
The win moves New York to a record of 1-3.
