Great Effort by Stars LF Kroyan Not Enough in 9-8 Loss
Aharon Kroyan had a good game, but he could not keep the Hollywood Stars from falling, 9-8, to the Syracuse Scorpions at Hollywood Grounds. The Hollywood left fielder was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 in the loss. The Stars drop to 14-18 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2023 season.

Syracuse used the hitting of Ryan Mallory to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions on top, 6-4. For the game, Mallory had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
