Daniel Helps Hollywood Edge Syracuse
|
The Hollywood Stars used the hitting of first baseman Eric Daniel to subdue the Syracuse Scorpions, 4-3. For the game, Daniel was 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Syracuse, with the loss, is 13-19.
Daniel contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Hollywood in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Daniel took a cutter from John Froerer and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Stars to leap in front, 2-1.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Daniel.
