San Francisco Loss Diminishes Mullinax Performance
The San Francisco Fire got a superb performance from first baseman Jeff Mullinax, but the Chicago Gangsters still won the game, 10-7. Mullinax hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The defeat makes the Fire 12-20.

Kevin Crouch took San Francisco hurler Chris Hinojosa deep in the top of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Gangsters on top, 8-7. In all, Crouch had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Crouch.
