Reapers Get Past Halifax for 5-4 Win
The Carolina Reapers cut down the Halifax Heathens by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Blake Benigno. Benigno went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times for the Reapers. The Reapers raised their record to 14-18.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Jody Jackson came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Halifax pitcher Angel Morales, he hit a 2-0 circle change for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Carolina on top, 5-4.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Jackson, "and then get after it again."
