Giants Get Gritty, 3-2 Win
The Indianapolis Eagles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Morgan Jenkins into a win. Instead, the Detroit Giants prevailed, 3-2. Jenkins threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Detroit, now 22-10, has played well in the early going.

The Giants relied on first baseman Angelo Mejia for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Mejia said.
