Shiners Lose to Heathens, 8-6
|
No one was more impactful than Julio Herrera in the 8-6 Halifax win over Charleston. Herrera, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Tommy LaBiche, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. Charleston falls to 17-14.
Eric Kukowski, who leads the AC in RBI with 36, helped out the Halifax cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch. He scored 2 times.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kukowski.
