Gwinn, Trash Pandas Too Much for Marauders
The Toronto Trash Pandas powered past the Philadelphia Marauders, 11-5, at Marauders Ballpark. Travis Gwinn was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Toronto pitcher Tom Rise got the win. He's now 1-0. Danny Heasley was tagged with the loss. The Trash Pandas raised their record to 20-11.

Toronto used a well-timed hit by Ryan Compton to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Trash Pandas ahead, 7-4. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Compton told the Toronto Citizen.
