Hamilton registered a win at Ballpark of Stockton by beating the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, 4-3. Pitcher Brice Shine was one reason why the Bulldogs triumphed. The winning pitcher was Shine, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Blake Ware, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Jay Robinson, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in stolen bases with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. Robinson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Hamilton up, 3-2.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Hamilton manager Tony Velez.
Hamilton has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
