Tigers Defeat Royals, 3-1

London and Cornwall played a hard-fought contest.
The Cornwall Royals went down to defeat to Antonio Alvarez and his London teammates. The final score was 3-1, Tigers, in 10 innings. The 5th-place Tigers bumped their record to 23-22.
London used a timely hit from Eric Bruhns to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Tigers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Tigers manager Fred Castricone, "I like our chances."
