The Vail Tigercats took on the Cincinnati Bombardiers at Ballpark of Cincinnati.
Vail Tigercats starter Dennis Cambridge was on his game, helping his team beat the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 8-2. Cambridge picked up the win for Vail, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1.
Vail used a clutch at-bat from Jake Myers to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Tigercats ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Dennis kept his poise and got the job done," said Vail manager Mike Alexander. "He was outstanding."
The second-place Tigercats improved to 25-18.
