Ragin Cajuns Earn Clutch Win, 5-4
|
The Miami Boll Weevils and Stockton Ragin Cajuns provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Ragin Cajuns grabbed a win, 5-4, at Ballpark of Miami, overcoming a fine effort from Miami pitcher Jon Caruso. Caruso went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Ragin Cajuns.
Temple City, California-born Chris Swain came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded and the Ragin Cajuns trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Stockton on top.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Swain told the Stockton Observer.
