Firecats Slap 3-1 Loss on Sonoma
|
The Hialeah Firecats topped the Sonoma Scorpions, 3-1, in Western AA action at Firecats Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hialeah pitcher Joey Russak. Hialeah is now 23-21, Sonoma 21-23.
Jake Way drove in one run for Hialeah. The 28-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bill Mosher. It was his 18th RBI of the season.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Way.
