Scorpions 6-1 Victors Over London
|
The Sonoma Scorpions handed the London Tigers a 6-1 defeat at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Third Baseman Cory Jaeger starred for Sonoma. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Jason Leddick picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Mario Salazar was tagged with the loss. Rich Wade closed it out for Sonoma, earning his 1st save.
The Scorpions got a big at-bat from left fielder Joe Orr. For the game, Orr was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Sonoma a 3-1 lead.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.
The first-place Scorpions have won 4 in a row.
