Led by Eric Lilienthal, the Hollywood Stars defeated the Tampa Bay Captains, 9-6. Lilienthal went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Stars. Oscar Malave, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Pat Eisen collected save number 4.

Hollywood grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Lilienthal hit a 3-run home run off Alex Holle. His 2nd home run of the season put the Stars out in front, 6-3.
