Whistlers Deal Fire 10-6 Setback
The Boston Whistlers defeated the San Francisco Fire, 10-6. Doing his part was first baseman Kevin Cremo, who went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Sam Naber earned the win for Boston. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. San Francisco is 11-19 after the loss.

Keith Roberts helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Boston manager Ben Foster.
