Eric Adkin was instrumental in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Cornwall Royals. The right fielder went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hialeah Firecats. Humberto Lopez closed out the game, earning his 7th save. Cornwall is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Adkin contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Hialeah in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Adkin took a slider from Joe Dixon and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Firecats to leap in front, 2-1.
