Firecats Squelch Royals Offense in Shutout Win
Hialeah used a superb performance from starting pitcher Eric Albright to down the Cornwall Royals, 5-0. Albright yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-3. Juan Millan picked up the save, his 2nd.

The Royals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Firecats going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Ray Branson came to the plate. Branson hit a grand slam home run on a full count cutter from Cornwall hurler Amari Allard. It was Branson's 4th home run of the year.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Cornwall manager Ivan Cabrera.

Cornwall has now lost 4 in a row.
