Visiting Boll Weevils Beat Tigercats, 3-2
Vail pitcher Tony Suarez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Tigercats dropped a 3-2 decision to Miami at Vail Grounds. Suarez threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Miami reliever Eric Willhite picked up the win to move to 2-2. Josh Howard suffered the loss. John Keefe nailed down his 6th save.

Miami took a 3-2 lead on Steve Krout's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Krout hit in the top of the seventh, left Vail pitcher Josh Howard visibly frustrated.

Krout told reporters after the game: "Runs were scarce, so we had to work hard to get the W."

The last-place Boll Weevils own a record of 11-29.
