Vail Grounds was the site of some high drama.

The Vail Tigercats picked up a win at Vail Grounds, topping the Miami Boll Weevils, 4-1. On the mound for Vail was left-hander Rich Mack. He played a principal role in the triumph. Miami has now lost 6 straight.

Vail got a game-changing hit from Jake Kovalev. The pinch hitter blasted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

"The crowd was juiced," said Mack.
