The Stockton Ragin Cajuns got a magnificent effort from pitcher Casey Levy, who kept Vermont hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Ragin Cajuns win at Ballpark of Stockton. Levy yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 11. His record improves to 4-1. Earning his 10th save for Stockton was Ricardo Grados.
Brett Tobey had a big run-scoring double for the Ragin Cajuns in the bottom of the second inning. With Stockton leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Gomez and swatted a double to center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ragin Cajuns ahead, 2-0.
"Some games build character," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke. "Like this one."
Their 24-15 record puts the Ragin Cajuns second in the Western AA Central Division.
