Bombardiers 7-5 Winners Over Vail
Vail first baseman Ryan Anderson had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Anderson went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, even as Cincinnati beat the Tigercats, 7-5. Cincinnati pitcher Jason Gaiser got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Danny Gonzales got the loss. The save was credited to Steve Dunn, his 14th.

Tied up with the Tigercats in the top of the fifth inning, the Bombardiers got a boost from second baseman Ken Kirkland. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Kirkland saw a 2-2 cutter from Danny Gonzales and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Cincinnati on top, 5-4.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Kirkland said.

The victory gives Cincinnati a record of 24-16.
