Cavalry Earn 8-7 Win Versus Milkmen
|
Vermont second baseman Bryan Colvin was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. St. Louis beat the Milkmen, 8-7, in 10 innings. St. Louis is now 12-24.
St. Louis needed the clutch hitting of Jeremy Capra to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cavalry on top, 8-7. For the game, Capra had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Cavalry manager Leo Medina.
