The Sonoma Scorpions eked out a 3-2 win versus the Miami Boll Weevils at Ballpark of Miami. Nobody did more than pitcher Evan Pullman. He was terrific. In 7 innings, Pullman surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Scorpions bumped their record to 22-14 with this win.

Sonoma used the timely hitting of Raul Arreola to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Miami skipper Bill Murtha.
