Tigercats Win at Cincinnati, 3-0
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Vail Tigercats and the Cincinnati Bombardiers. Vail won it, 3-0. Vail starter Mike Brown was in command. Picking up the save was John Hennig, his 2nd. With the victory, the Tigercats upped their record to 20-17.
Vail used a clutch at-bat from Adam McCumiskey to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tigercats ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Vail manager Mike Alexander commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
