Bulldogs Win at Home, 9-2
|
The Hamilton Bulldogs cut down the Sonoma Scorpions by the score of 9-2, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Adrian Fekety. Fekety went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Bulldogs. Hamilton reliever Scott Harvey picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Dan Toigo was saddled with the loss. The second-place Bulldogs have won 6 straight games.
Had Fekety not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Fekety hit a run-scoring single. The Bulldogs never looked back after taking the 3-2 lead.
Hamilton manager Emmanuel Montano commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
