Alba Now 6-1 Following 4-0 Win
|
London Tigers starter Javier Alba pitched well against the Hialeah Firecats at Ballpark of Oklahoma City, leading his team to a win, 4-0. The save was credited to Frank Yanez, his 3rd. The first-place Tigers have won 7 straight.
Alba's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 3 hits. Alba, who is tied for 6th in the W-AA with a 2.65 ERA, goes to 6-1 on the year with 54 strikeouts.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Alba told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
