The Vermont Milkmen had their hands full with Sonoma Scorpions starter Brian Hayden, who frustrated Vermont hitters while leading Sonoma to a comfortable, 6-1 win. Hayden got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Sonoma bumps their record to 21-15 with the win.

In the bottom of the third, 24-year old right fielder Nate Galloway hit a solo home run. The 9th home run of the season for the Sonoma first baseman put the Scorpions on top, 1-0.
