Hialeah Loses, 5-3, to Sonoma in 11
|
Sonoma Scorpions starter Ken Springer pitched a strong game against the Hialeah Firecats at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, leading the Scorpions to victory, 5-3. Sonoma reliever Mike Arnerich picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Humberto Lopez took the loss. Sonoma raised its record to 27-6 with the win.
Sonoma got a clutch hit from Ruben Rios. The catcher launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Rios.
