The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Louis Cavalry and Vermont Milkmen get after it.

The Vermont Milkmen topped the St. Louis Cavalry, 15-2, at Emeralds Ballpark. Vermont third baseman Jeff Rick was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Vermont pitcher Mike Hall got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Frank Robinson got the loss.

Craig Dobbs was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Vermont. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Frank Robinson. It was his 15th hit of the season.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Dobbs told the Vermont Daily News.

The Milkmen now have a record of 16-14 with the win over St. Louis.
