The Miami Boll Weevils defeated the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 7-1. First Baseman Danny Espinoza deserved a large share of the credit. Espinoza was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Boll Weevils. Steve Adams was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The Boll Weevils go to 11-19 with the win.

Espinoza had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Boll Weevils went on to win.

Espinoza called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
