Capitols Squelch Bombardiers Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Augusta Capitols beat the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 3-0. Augusta pitcher and St. Paul, Minnesota, native Nick Horrocks led the way. Mike Poussard closed the game out for Augusta, earning his 3rd save. Augusta, with the win, is 10-20.
Tobias Rivera drove in one run for Augusta. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Earl Gomez. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Horrocks.
