Cornwall and Vail got after it at Vail Grounds.
The Cornwall Royals and starting pitcher Mike Revell stifled the Vail offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Vail Grounds. Revell got the win, improving to 5-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. Marquise Robinson wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Cornwall relied on the bat of Dionigi Castellani to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Royals ahead, 2-1. For the game, Castellani had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Revell.
The Royals now own a record of 20-12.
