Cavalry Rally to Nose Past Cornwall
The St. Louis Cavalry picked up a win at King George Park, knocking off the Cornwall Royals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Matt Davis was a big reason why. St. Louis reliever Edgar Ramirez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Kelly Powell. Shane Campbell collected save number 7.

Rich Maciejewski, who leads the W-AA in home runs with 7, had a direct impact on the outcome. Maciejewski contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put St. Louis up, 4-3.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Maciejewski told a St. Louis Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

With the loss, Cornwall is 17-11.
