The Capitol Dome was the site for Western AA action featuring the Cornwall Royals and Augusta Capitols.

The Augusta Capitols picked up a win at The Capitol Dome, defeating the Cornwall Royals, 4-0. Starting pitcher Mal Burkes was an essential part of his team's success. The Capitols are off to a nightmare start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 9th win in 28 games.

Eric Hicks contributed to the Augusta win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
