Dragons Suffer 5-3 Setback
The timely hitting of Chris Boyd helped the Charleston Sea Dogs down the Dallas Dragons, 5-3. Boyd went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Sea Dogs. Alfredo Tiscareno claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Bob Baucke was credited with the save for Charleston, his 7th of the season.

Boyd had a key at-bat for Charleston in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Charleston an early 4-0 lead.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Boyd told the Charleston Times.

Dallas drops to 12-17.
