Miles Slugs 2 Home Runs, Boll Weevils Beat Milkmen, 5-4
|
The Miami Boll Weevils trumped the Vermont Milkmen, 5-4, at Ballpark of Miami. Miami right fielder Tyler Miles was terrific. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Getting the save was Brent Kuest, his 5th. The victory makes Miami 11-16.
Miles had a timely hit for Miami in the bottom of the eighth. With Miami trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Miami.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Miles.
