Stoddard Stars in 4-2 Royals Win

The Cornwall Royals dealt the Hialeah Firecats a 4-2 loss at King George Park. Earl Stoddard was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win went to Lee Fidler in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Simon Peretti took the loss. The loss drops Hialeah to 8-19.
Stoddard had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 sinker from Simon Peretti, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Royals a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Stoddard.
