Bombardiers Earn 4-2 Home Win
|
Cincinnati pitcher Gabriel Huey did his part in helping his team beat the Vermont Milkmen, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Huey. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Ricky Mena. Jose Perez earned the save for Cincinnati, his 6th of the year.
Darren Gemme chipped in a 3-run home run for Cincinnati in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Gabriel did a good job keeping the game under control," said Cincinnati manager Nick Pauli.
The win puts Cincinnati at 20-9 this season.
