The Augusta Capitols extended their winning streak.

Getting a good performance from center fielder Martin Vargas, the Augusta Capitols defeated the Miami Boll Weevils, 4-1. Vargas was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Capitols. Juan Santana nailed down his 4th save.

With the game tied in the top of the fifth inning, Vargas had a clutch at-bat. That's when he hit a run-scoring single to give the Capitols a 2-1 lead.

"We played hard and won," said Vargas. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
