Bombardiers Earn Win with Late Rally
The Cincinnati Bombardiers faced a tough opponent in Sonoma pitcher Francisco Hernandez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of North Richland Hills by a final score of 4-3. Hernandez went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to Matt Jones in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Shissho Matsuno took the loss. Tony Wooten picked up the save for Cincinnati, his 4th of the year.

Cincinnati used a timely hit from Andy Ehrle to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bombardiers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Ehrle told the Cincinnati News. "You win just by scoring more runs."

The loss drops Sonoma to 16-11.
