Tigercats Snag 5-2 Win
The Hamilton Bulldogs got a sterling performance from pitcher Brice Shine, but the Vail Tigercats still prevailed, 5-2. Shine threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Vince Rice was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. Vail has a record of 17-12, placing them second in the Western AA Central Division.

Vail used the timely hitting of Ken Hippler to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tigercats on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Vail manager Mike Alexander.
