Capitols Deal Miami 7-5 Defeat
|
The Augusta Capitols defeated the Miami Boll Weevils, 7-5. Doing his part was right fielder Chris Wunderlich, who was 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2. The winning pitcher was Paul Ganley. He's now 3-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits for the Capitols. The Boll Weevils fall to 9-15 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.
The Capitols got a big at-bat from first baseman Matt Tindall. For the game, Tindall was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Augusta a 3-0 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wunderlich told the Augusta Herald.
